Proposed identity redesign for Agricultural industry.
Goal:
Update and freshen the logo while maintaining the integrity of the original design. The oval shape, the silver border and the red and green colors were retained to nod to the original design. Updated font and graphics with a more balanced composition give the new design is fresh, updated look, while more strongly indicating that the company serves the ag industry.

Goal:
Wanted a classic, iconic design with a contemporary feel. Went with a traditional composition using a sans serif typeface. Chose a classic farm icon with the tractor, illustrated in a bright, colorful fashion with a dramatic perspective, as if the tractor is driving out of the logo. As an added touch the tread on the tires is a series of “M”s to nod to the company name.

Cara Mia Varietal Olive Oil
Illustration and label design for Cara Mia® brand olive oil line. The client required the oil variety text to be the full width of the label, so the label was designed to accommodate the very dominant text elements. This specialty product is olive oil made with specific olive varieties, which we wanted to feature on the label. The illustrations were drawn by hand, then converted to vector objects, then rendered in Adobe Photoshop.

Packaging design for the Cranberry Marketing Committee. Product is a small, 4.5″wide snack bag designed to give out as samples. The product name needed to be prominent and the client wished to promote the health benefits of the product on the front of the package. The first design was the selected option. The gallery includes some of the other proposed designs, which show a variety of possible solutions for the project.

Packaging design for line of salad and fresh cut vegetables available in grocery stores and Costco throughout the US. The first gallery image shows the full color design as presented. The package ended up being printed in spot colors so the final designs have been simplified and gradations removed.

The design concept was to break consumer bias that organic products are less flavorful or bland compared to non-organic fruit products. The category typically presents organic products in neutral, subdued colors. The proposed package is a line breaker, showing the product in vivid colors, bright and bold. The design tells the consumer that the product is juicy and flavorful.

Event
Crab Feed Fundraiser
Poster, postcard and ticket design for fundraising event. The event was a crab feed and silent auction event for a cancer victim to raise funds for medical treatments. The design was bright and colorful was selected to evoke positive sense for a potentially somber event.
Friendship Ride T-Shirt
Friendship Ride is an annual memorial motorcycle ride. The ride occurs annually to Yosemite National Park so the artwork depicts the Half-Dome landmark in the park. The event shirt was designed for dye sublimation printing.
WISH Rummage Sale Flyer
Non-profit organization, WISH Project International, needed a flyer for a fundraising event. Custom illustration in one color for reproduction on a photocopy machine. The event was a huge success for the group.
Cobra Basketball T-Shirt
T-Shirt for Japanese American Basketball Association’s COBRA tournament. Illustration was designed for 4-spot colors for screen printing using a Japanese theme. The motif of a player in a samurai masking in a dramatic pose dunking the basketball is executed by in bold spot colors using asian patterns to create dimension. A refresh of the JABA logo was also presented.

Wedding Invite – Farmer’s Market
When the niece of one of your best friends asks you to do an invitation for their Farmer’s Market themed wedding, how can you resist? This young couple wanted something quirky and informal for their wedding, which makes for a fun project. The multi-piece invitation was designed with a gate folded, chili pepper red outer sleeve made of a recycled natural fiber paper, tied with twine and sealed with a tag emblazoned with a custom logo representing the couple’s first initials. Inside the invite is styled like a sign for country faire with an event logo.
